Trip Buddy Japan guides offer services in English.
Note: App-based guides will use translation apps to assist with communication.
Cancellation Policy:
Up to 6 days before the guide date: free cancellation.
Up to 1 day before the guide date: 50% of the service fee.
On the day of the guide: 100% of the service fee.
Guides typically wear casual attire suitable for sightseeing.
Optional traditional Japanese clothing or costumes are available. Please select this option if you wish.
Tips can be exchanged with the guide based on mutual agreement.
Typically, tipping is not a common practice in Japan.
The guide’s meal expenses are not included in the guide fee.
Transportation costs for the guide will apply:
Within the same area: Approximately ¥3,000.
Outside the area: ¥5,000 and up (e.g., Shinkansen).
If the guide cannot return home the same day, please also cover accommodation costs (approximately ¥10,000).
We accommodate families with young children.
Please inform us in advance if you will be traveling with small children.

The guide will meet you at a convenient place, such as the lobby of your hotel or a designated meeting point at the station.
If it is discovered that there is coercion to visit a location that the guide is uncomfortable with, we will report it to the Japanese police.
Generally, we do not offer this service.
However, if you confirm with the guide in advance and they agree to accommodate your request, it may be possible.
